Fulton Market Kitchen aims to be a meeting place where art and design challenges and amuses guests, provoking conversation and breeding new ideas. “Fulton Market Kitchen offers guests the rare opportunity to enjoy dining, drinking and the work of incredible artists in a single, truly unique setting,” said Alonso. Inspired in part by urban art and the Wynwood Walls in Miami, Alonso commissioned Alex Morales of Smartmouth Designs to help execute and elevate the vision by lending his own signature elements to the design. Conceptualized and co-designed by Daniel Alonso (Black Bull), Fulton Market Kitchen is a portal of collective creativity; integrating various art mediums and styles with imaginative cuisine to create a new experience for Chicago’s evolving culture. Our menu embraces global influences and advocates relaxed, free-form dining. The menu developed by Culinary Director James Gottwald (Monti’s, Sunda, Rockit) and Chef Kyle Petersen (Ceres’ Table, Naha) offers an alternative experience with playful presentations and ingredients sourced from our neighbors along Fulton Market Street. In sequence with the kitchen’s globally inspired fare, the beverage program, carefully curated by Brian Sturgulewski, is completed with a selection of artisanal beers, an extensive wine list, and an innovative and clever cocktail menu made with fresh juices and spirits pulled from one of the City’s most extensive and eclectic back bars. Inspired in part by urban art and the Wynwood Walls in Miami, Alonso commissioned Alex Morales of Smartmouth Designs to help execute and elevate the vision by lending his own signature elements to the design. Pursuing the vision to have several artistic styles on the walls, Fulton Market Kitchen’s inaugural art collection is the result of a collaboration with several contributing artists: Erni Vales, Erik DeBat, Franklin Riley, Dominic Sansone, CJ Hungerman, Rory Coyne, Nicole Quattrocki, Alex Morales, and Hamlet Meneses. “We are striving to become a highly artist-friendly and collaborative channel for the vibrant local art community; to work together to exhibit, educate and sell their work,” stated Alonso. As a restaurant and lounge whose spirit is inspired by art and innovation, Fulton Market Kitchen’s collections will rotate up to six times per year to introduce new artists and revitalize the experience for their guests.
